Greg Taylor has described the moment that he held his baby daughter in his arms as Celtic walked out to face Kilmarnock at Parkhead on Saturday as the 'proudest game' of his career.
The full-back - who is set to leave the club at the end of his contract in the summer - put in a man-of-the-match display as the Hoops moved to the brink of sealing a fourth straight Premiership title with a 5-1 victory against the Ayrshire side.
Having been named as the best player of the park, Taylor was expected to deliver a post-match interview with broadcasting giants Sky, only to remain on the pitch to celebrate the win with his teammates and baby daughter as skipper Callum McGregor and Cameron Carter-Vickers conducted media duties instead.
Taking to Instagram after the game, Taylor shared a clip of him walking out of the tunnel and onto the pitch at with baby daughter Ruvie at Parkhead with the caption 'Proudest game of my career' followed by a love heart and hands emoji.
When Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers then appeared for his own interview, he was asked by Sky reporter Luke Shanley if Taylor dodging media duties was due to his impending exit at Celtic Park.

However, the Irishman responded by insisting that he hasn't given up hope on the Scotland international extending his stay in Glasgow's East End.
Rodgers said: "I'll always fight to the very end for a player and a person like Greg. He's earned the right to make the decision he wants, but I think you see in his performance today how important he is in that role for us.

"It opens up so much, and he plays like a midfield player for us. We'll always try to convince (him to stay). But we'll see what happens from now until the end of the season."
After the full-time whistle, Sky pundit James McFadden argued that defender Taylor comes in for too much slack at time from Celtic fans. He said: "Greg Taylor for me is harshly judged and harshly criticised.
"One thing that he brings is his professionalism and his willingness to go and take the ball and get involved in the game.
"We are talking about the catalyst for Celtic in how they started the game today.
Asked about Taylor's reasons for potentially moving on when his contract expires, McFadden replied: "For Greg, he wants to play, of course he does.
"People don't like talking about it but when it comes to this stage, your decision isn't based purely on money.
"But it is about what you feel you are worth. It's not about asking for too much but feeling like you have been valued in that sense.
"Maybe it is down to that. But with Kieran Tierney coming in, who's going to be first choice if he stays fit, that's a given.
"It would be easy for him to feel sorry for himself and go into a huff because (Jeffrey) Schlupp has came in and taken his place but he's shown he is up for a fight and is a very good player.

"That performance shows that there is still fight there for Greg Taylor and maybe he wants to stay at Celtic."
