Rick Stone grew up around gardens and farms and loved growing his own food, but it wasn't until he had children that he realized how broken the food system is. He and his wife committed to feeding their kids the healthiest, most nutrient-dense food they could, which meant growing it themselves. That was over 25 years ago, and every year his garden has gotten bigger, and he provides most of the fresh produce for his family.
For the past 20 years, Rick has started his own seeds indoors, both for the cost savings and the ability to grow the exact varieties he wants, and more varieties than he could find in a nursery. Over time he has perfected his method by removing as many variables as possible.
