Basil is one of the plants I have trouble growing. So far this year, the seed are not germinating. Last year same result. My tomatoes and peppers are growing nicely.

I’m planting square foot style in four 4×8 raised beds that we built. Already made one mistake. Peas with onions next to them. Appreciate all your information and I’m writing it down in my garden journal

Spearmint or any mint is invasive. I got some from my moms yard that her husbands mother had planted back in the 50’s. I collect it for tea and medicinal purposes but keep it contained in an area. I did not know you could use vermiculite as seed starting soil, thanks!

Mold! I have seedlings growing and with BT, fans, H2O2, vermiculite, etc., there are NO fungus gnats which plagued me for the last few years. This is awesome! I'm using a combination of seedling mix, pearlite and peat moss but with the SLIGHTEST bit of surface moisture for a few hours, mold covers the soil in a thick gray layer. What the heck? Any ideas?

borage is something tomato hornworms hate.. also marigolds dill parsley thyme basil and chammomile.. just an fyi.. love your channel.. 👍🏻 thank you so much.
