Of course I moaned that the cause #Red4Wed started trending on a Thursday rather than a Wednesday, but #WorldEncephalitisDay is *today*, and not even someone as powerful and influential as me can change the diarised entry of a recognised international campaign day. Sadly.I also moaned that my lovely friend and client, Lisa Sheridan, asked me to share a selfie wearing something red in support of this campaign that's so close to her heart (her little girl was misdiagnosed with the condition several years ago, and by god, if anything like that happened to my own little girl...).I'm not a selfie girl, Shez - you know this.I'm so thankful, however, that Lily has not had to go through what Freya went through (and still suffers the aftermath of to this day). So I hope you'll accept instead, a photo of Lily in red (on the left), along with her bestie since birth (also in red, on the right). And to add to the red, a plate of luscious red strawberries for breakfast on this special day!Ignore the chocolate and marshmallows - I'm a fantastic mother...I can't think of much worse than watching your child suffer, and feeling utterly helpless in the face of a failing healthcare system. Thank the lord for your strength, Lisa, and for the good work of Encephalitis International ❤️

"So why are you limiting places on your course in March to just 8 people, Jo? Is it because you want to make sure everyone gets enough time and opportunity to fully interact, contribute, and have their own questions answered on the 4x hour-long sessions with you?"No.It's because I want us to look like The Brady Bunch when we all turn up on Zoom.Creative Copy with Jo begins March 18th. 3 spaces left, price goes up from £250 to £300 on Friday. Link in comments.🟣⚫️⚪️It’s me, Jo Watson. Copywriter hired by people who want personality in their project. Does anyone have a blonde wig I could borrow?

Do you ever find yourself launching into song, by any chance?Sometimes, I have to. It's a compulsion.Such as at 9.56 this morning, when I felt driven not only to belt out a song lyric, but to do it in the full-on vocal tones and stylings of the original artist themselves. That artist was Miss Shirley Bassey, and the song was... History Repeating. Now, I know what you're thinking... "Of all the hits of The Propellerheads you could have chosen, Jo - why that one?"Well, it's simple.Around 10 or 11 days ago, I announced that in March I'd be running my first ever small group online short course - Creative Copy with Jo. Link in the comments for details. All 8 spaces on the course were gone in under a week. So, with the interest clearly there, and my enthusiasm to run the course even higher than ever, I announced just before the weekend that I'm going to be running a second cohort of Creative Copy with Jo in that same month - for another 8 lovely people who want to start identifying, applying, and enjoying the difference between copy and content in their writing. And the History Repeating line?Probably obvious, but if things stay on track (ha, genuinely no pun intended), before the week is out, history will have indeed repeated itself, and all 8 spaces for the second cohort (starts Monday 18th March for one hour per day that week - all recorded if you can't make a session), will have been taken.3 of the 8 spots remain. I'll keep posting til I've got my tribe together. Will you be in it?Oh, and one of the likely drivers for those slots going in the first week? Well, we all love an incentive, don't we? The price goes up from £250 to £300 after the launch week ends. DM me with any questions and/or to grab a slot.I will otherwise have looked and sounded like an absolute d*ck with my lyrical outburst this morning for nothing.🟣⚫️⚪️It’s me, Jo Watson. Copywriter hired by people who want personality in their project. You could argue that I look and sound like an absolute d*ck on most days anyway, I know...

The answer is yes, for anyone wondering. Barry is taking time off for half term. He's back for any Sorted in 60® one-to-one copy and content sessions booked in from next Monday. I appreciate you probably won't see him from this angle at the time.🟣⚫️⚪️It’s me, Jo Watson. Copywriter hired by people who want personality in their project. It may be half term in The Watson House, meaning that I've swapped copywriting for crafting, and training for trampolining, but if you still fancy some Jo magic in your life, there are two ways to get it this week. Option one is to buy a copy of Boost Yor Bio, and use it to show you the way to get cracking on a much-needed overhaul of your LinkedIn Bio and Headline/ 60 second networking pitch/ profile piece placed in any publication requiring you to tell us who the devil you are. £45.Option two is to join my little membership group - if only for a month. The GDI is for writers and non-writers alike - but all having the common wish to get better at this skill for life and business, whilst enjoying the benefits of being a part of something pretty fun and wonderful. Also £45.I'll put links for info on both of these badboys in the comments. I'll be picking up DMs as usual if you have any burning concerns that need addressing. About the links, I mean.🟣⚫️⚪️It’s me, Jo Watson. Copywriter hired by people who want personality in their project. I was going to say "swapping blogging for bouncing", but thought better of it.

She's hardly put that racket down all week.Lily started going along to tennis coaching sessions last week. We've got a fantastic facility on our doorstep in the shape of Bolton Arena, and after Lily had showed an interest in the sport when we were at Center Parcs* at the start of the year, we signed her up to a small group session to see if she might enjoy learning how to play. She loved it, and later that afternoon, she'd chosen her very own racket. I think it may actually be glued to her right hand. Her second session was this weekend, which coincided with the Arena once again hosting LTA International tournaments for Wheelchair Tennis!! I don't know what I loved watching more - the players, or our little girl watching them in absolute awe.The tournaments are on for another week. Get yourselves down there if you're in the area. The whole set-up is just amazing and it's a fantastic atmosphere. Well done, Bolton Arena 🎾🟣⚫️⚪️It’s me, Jo Watson. Copywriter hired by people who want personality in their project. *Before you say anything, if I ever was "doing well", I'm bloody not now!! Jesus that place is crazy dollar...

"Jo, following on from Oscar Winner Olivia Colman's recent comments on the subject, do you fancy jumping on BBC Radio 5 Live tonight and giving your views on women who swear?"Well.Link in comments to the recording of the radio slot - on the off-chance you were doing something other than listening to the radio at 11.15pm on a Friday night. Big respect to Diana Mather for being bloody brilliant (forgive me, Diana) to debate the position with.

Page for Sorted in 60® set up as of 9 minutes ago. If I still have 0 followers on it by this time tomorrow, then clearly I just need to shut down my entire business. Now, how the hell do you send out invites on this thing...
